The first iterations of Dewy and Velvet were created in 2020, by founder PJ Carbone, in order to fill a gap in her own skincare routine. She needed an organic moisturizer derived from clean, nutrient-rich, hydrating, and highly absorbent ingredients. After much research and testing, she landed on the formulations for a face oil and butter.

After seeing great results herself, she shared the products with family and friends and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive! Even those with lingering skin concerns and challenging skin sensitivities experienced great results. This inspired PJ to make the products more widely available and Quotidian Skincare was founded in 2023.
