What does 'Quotidian' mean?

Daily; occurring every day. Our range of skincare products are intended to be an uncomplicated and impactful part of your daily skincare routine, helping you start and end each day feeling your best.

Where is Quotidian made?

Quotidian products are handmade and formulated in Hopkinton, MA (by our founder PHJ!) and our powerful ingredients are carefully sourced from the USA and around the globe.

Is Quotidian suitable for all skin types?

We've had a variety of skin types and ages try Quotidian with great results! People with various skin concerns, conditions, and types have tried Quotidian and have reported brighter, plumper, smoother complexion with an improvement to their dry & cracked skin, fine lines & wrinkles, hyperpigmentation & dark spots and blemishes. These results were seen very quickly!

How do I use Dewy & Velvet together?

We tend to use Dewy on its own in the morning. If your skin is feeling dry and needs some extra love, apply Velvet over top of the oil. In the evening, apply Dewy first, followed by Velvet for restorative overnight hydration. You only need to use a small amount of each!

How often can I use Quotidian?

To achieve optimal efficacy we recommend using twice daily, once in the morning and at night. However, slather it on as much as you want (we do)! Our favorite way to wear Quotidian is to use Dewy by itself in the morning for a great makeup base or radiant and dewy but non-greasy finish. On days we need extra hydration, we put Velvet on in the AM as well. At night, wear both together to wake up with plump, glowing skin.

What do the products smell like?

If you are sensitive to fragrance, as we are, please know that there is no fragrance added to Quotidian products. The scent is a wonderful amalgamation of botanical ingredients (including some essential oils). It's earthy, spa-like and very calming, adding a moment of intoxicating zen into your skincare routine. With that said, the smell is not overpowering and will not aggravate sensitive noses!

Where/How should I store Dewy & Velvet?

In a cool, dry place. Dewy and Velvet are in amber glass bottles and jars protect the products from light damage. Please note that if Velvet gets warm, it can melt and may become darker but this does not change the efficacy of it. Just pop it in the fridge or in a cool spot to firm up again.

Can I use other skincare products with Quotidian?

Of course! Dewy & Velvet achieve so much for your skin on their own but we understand if you want to incorporate our products into your existing routine. We also use our other favorite products from time to time! In this case, we just suggest applying Velvet last in order to lock in moisture.

Wear for a wonderfully fresh look or under makeup as the first line of defense. Quotidian creates a great base for applying makeup!

Can you use Quotidian when pregnant?

If you are looking to replace retinol in your skincare routine during pregancy, Dewy could be a safe alternative. Bakuchi Oil, an ingredient in the Dewy face oil, is a natural, plant-derived alternative to retinol. Please consult your doctor though because at this time, there is not enough data available that indicates whether or not it is safe to use during pregnancy.

Are Quotidian skincare products organic?

We source all organic ingredients for our blends. This means that they are grown without the use of man-made fertilizers, pesticides, synthetic chemicals and GMO's. All of these can get into the bloodstream and it's important to us that ingredients are as clean and safe as possible.

Is Quotidian cruelty free?

Yes, none of our ingredients and formulas are tested on animals.

Is Quotidian vegan & gluten free?

Quotidian is both a vegan and gluten free product. Ingredients are plant and nut based.

Is Quotidian 100% natural?

All of our ingredients are 100% botanically derived.

Does Quotidian contain nuts?

Yes. Tamanu oil and butter originate from the seeds of the Tamanu Nut Tree. If you have a nut allergy, please consult your doctor before use to see if Tamanu is safe for you use.
